The dates that weren’t mine

There was an awkward pause last night at dinner with my family. For some reason it is only now the full dynamics of my book is being discussed.

I was asked for the title of the book (as you can see from their prescience I didn’t involve my family in every step of the process before it went to print including the name….) and there was a wee silence before the inevitable question was asked- are they all yours?

So no, not all eighty eight dates are mine. When researching the book I went on about 47 dates. Of that, thirteen made the book…..as BAD dates!

The name comes from a man I interviewed who went on eighty eight dates in ninety days. One small step for one man, on giant step for dating kind. THAT’s what I call dedication.
