Words of Wisdom: Is Anyone Listening?

My daughter gave me this picture today and I actually cried. She’s been working on it at school, and it’s a picture of me surrounded by all the words of wisdom she feels I’m passing onto her, things that I say that she’s taking on board and trying to live by.
To see my words to her written down by her to give back to me was incredibly moving. And I realised that in the end what I love most – that the biggest gift I can give this world is passing on some of this stuff to my three girls.
I thought you might like to read the words she wrote- as they are frequent phrases in our house, and we all work to live by them:
Try and you might succeed (if you don’t try you’ve failed already)
Don’t let fear rule your life
Put your hand up (which means offer yourself for the things you want to do)
Never give up!
If you don’t get it this time try next time
Enjoy life and live because you only have one.
SNIFF- Gone all misty eyed again!
What do you impart to your children? Have you asked them what mantras of yours they carry with them?
(PS- This I think is the favourite christmas present I could have received this year
)

Wow..thats awesome! Good on you for incorporating those awesome words of wisdom into your family’s life at home! Choice stuff.
That is all a parent can ask for and more. She is taking it all it and trying to pay it forward as well. Good job Mama!
What a gift! Nicely done, mama.
